G-Team Campaign a MAJOR Success!

Thank you to all who have donated to “Educational Shakesperiences” through Groupon’s G-Team Campaign!

From November 8-10, “Educational Shakesperiences” was featured in Orlando’s G-Team campaign.  G-Team is the non-profit extension of Groupon that allows customers to donate to specific causes.  All proceeds, once the “deal is tipped”,  directly benefit the nonprofit.

The campaign to benefit Orlando Shakes was directed at providing students access to professional theater through student matinee performances of our Signature Series productions, with complimentary tickets for students from under-served schools. The “tipping point” to receive donations was set at 30, and we exceeded it with 118 total donations!  That means 3 additional classes will be introduced to Shakespeare through student matinees this season.

On behalf of the Orlando Shakes staff, thank you to all who were able to give.  You have provided Orlando’s youth a chance to see LIVE professional theater and to enrich their lives.
